The Need for Accessible Breast Cancer Screening
Women in rural and urban areas face barriers to screening, from lack of awareness to inaccessibility of medical facilities. According to NIH, 1 in 22 women in urban India and 1 in 60 in rural areas may develop breast cancer. The CATS system aims to bridge this gap with an innovative, non-invasive solution: Chola ROV.
What is Chola ROV?
Chola ROV is a wearable, radiation-free device designed for early breast cancer detection. It offers:

How It Works
- Fitting & Comfort – A technician assigns the appropriate wearable device and instructs the subject to wear an apron for privacy.
- Data Capture – The wearable device is fastened, and a data acquisition system captures skin surface temperatures.
- Sterilization – The device is cleaned with a UV wand post-screening, ensuring safe reuse.
